At GETSOME, we're not just talking about sex—we're rewriting the whole conversation. And at the heart of that mission is Michelle Fischler, MSW, RSW, RP — our resident ASTO Certified Sex Therapist.
Michelle brings 15 years of clinical experience, a fierce commitment to unshaming, and a contagious curiosity about the psychology of sex. She's here to help us dismantle the one-size-fits-all, heteronormative, westernized approach to sex ed, and inspire everyone to own who they are as sexual beings. She's not just part of GETSOME—she's a big reason it exists.
She is also the author of Coming Soon: The Unshaming Guide to Early Ejaculation and Lasting Longer (2026) and specializes in early ejaculation, sexual performance anxiety, and the unshaming approach — a framework that addresses the psychological roots of shame rather than symptoms alone.
While Michelle also runs an independent private practice and supervises licensed health professionals, she collaborates with GETSOME to make expert, trauma-informed, inclusive sex education widely accessible. Think of her as your go-to guide for conversations that are equal parts grounded, playful, and radically real.
Michelle has been exploring the science and psychology of sex since childhood. There’s something about a hush-hush topic that makes a kid want to learn as much as they can about it (which 2 years attending a convent school likely didn’t help). When she discovered Sex with Sue starring the late, great Sue Johanson, there was no doubt in her mind that she had found her calling.
Her workshops on sex after trauma, incorporating conversations about sex into private practice, erection disappointment, and unshaming sex.
The GETSOME podcast, where she brings her signature blend of warmth, wit, and clinical insight.
