No matter what your high school friends tried to tell you, sex is nothing like you see in porn. It’s messy, silly, fun, and sometimes brings up emotions you didn’t even know you had. If you’re ready to erase shameful stigmas and learn to love yourself, GETSOME is here to support every step of your sexual transformation.
Led by ASTO Certified sex therapist Michelle Fischler MSW, RSW, RP, our resources are designed to open up the floor to real and raw conversations about what it really means to be sexually liberated.
Through education, conversations, and support, we are committed to inspiring you to own your sexual identity and embrace sexual transformation regardless of your culture, beliefs, or lifestyle.
From fetishes to dating (and everything in between), the GETSOME podcast is an honest and ongoing conversation about sex, love, trauma, and pleasure. With an insatiable appetite and a fearless approach to hard conversations, host Michelle Fischler leads guests and listeners on a mission to own their sexuality, no matter their history.
Real stories, real people, real sex. From conversations with experts to folks with lived experience, the GETSOME podcast makes breaking down the barriers of shame surrounding sex feel practical, possible, and fun.
Have a question about sex, shame, or relationships that you’re too afraid to ask out loud? We offer binge-worthy, actionable courses and workbooks that cover everything from body image to infidelity. Pick and choose which modules fit your lifestyle and start rewriting your sexual narrative.
Sex and sexuality are universal human experiences, yet the intimacy of the topic makes it a conversation that often happens in hushed whispers and incognito Google searches. So, we are bringing the conversation into the open, with education and resources that embrace the diversity of the human experience. Adults from all walks of life are welcome at GETSOME.
Our approach to sexual education combines compassion with humor to help everyone overcome the often daunting task of addressing sexual shame. Because, no matter who you are or who you love, you deserve to GETSOME.
GETSOME founder, certified sex and relationship therapist Michelle Fischler, has been exploring the science and psychology of sex since childhood. There’s something about a hush-hush topic that makes a kid want to learn as much as they can about it (which 2 years attending a convent school likely didn’t help). When she discovered Sex with Sue starring the late, great Sue Johanson, there was no doubt in her mind that she had found her calling.
Today, Michelle supports clients from all walks of life as they navigate their own sexuality, trauma, and relationship with themselves. When she’s not chatting sex with anyone who will listen (her favorite topic of conversation to this day), you might find her slurping down as many oysters as humanly possible, consignment shopping, or learning as much as she can about the people and the world around her.
GETSOME was created in loving memory of Laura Armstrong, the kind of friend who supports your dreams relentlessly, even when those dreams involve talking about sex non-stop.
Sexual freedom begins with rewriting the sexual narratives you’ve been building since childhood. It may sound like a lot, but we make it bite-sized.
Sometimes, the best way to heal is to laugh. We approach “scary” topics with an equal balance of humor and compassion.
When we say “safe space,” we mean it. There is no tolerance for judgment or hate in the GETSOME community.
